Hola, I'm Eva Castillo

I am an integrative bodywork practitioner, mind-and-body coach, massage therapist (since 2008), and Level 2 Reiki practitioner. I also bring over ten years of professional contemporary dance experience, which deeply informs how I listen to and work with the body.

This is me in a nutshell

My work brings together different approaches to support healing of the body, mind, and spirit. It is shaped by both my personal path and my professional training, and guided by respect for each person’s unique process.

I am originally from Mexico, bilingual and bicultural, and have called California home since 2005. Since childhood, I have been exposed to curanderismo through both sides of my family. Later in life, I had the good fortune to train with two Mazatec curanderas, and I have continued to follow this path through a deep connection with nature and traditional healing practices.

Although I sometimes humbly use the title curandera, I choose to write it with a lowercase “c” as a way of honoring the lineage and the lifelong dedication it takes to truly become a Curandera.

I have been walking my own healing path for over fifteen years, which has taught me that healing is not linear and not the same for everyone. My approach is gentle, intuitive, and non-intrusive. I aim to create a space where you can reconnect with your own inner guidance and find your way, at your own pace.

My roots are grounded in Mexican healing traditions, where I have been trained in the respectful use of plants for healing and growth. This path has also led me to support and mentor others working in psychedelic-assisted healing and integration.

As a Mestiza Mexican, I carry an awareness of the history of Western appropriation of Indigenous wisdom. This awareness guides how I approach my work, especially when accompanying groups to Mexico. I am careful not to romanticize or take these traditions out of context. My intention is not to extract what is offered, but to build relationships based on respect, reciprocity, and care.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief:
God is love.
And healing begins with respect for ourselves and for others.

The joy of facilitating healing

What I value most about this work is being able to witness the quiet shifts that happen when someone begins to reconnect with themselves.

It can look different for each person. Sometimes it’s a moment of release, sometimes a new understanding, sometimes simply a sense of coming back into the body. Whether through bodywork, integration support, reiki, or a limpia, I feel grateful to accompany people through these moments.

I don’t see myself as someone who heals others, but as someone who holds a space where healing can unfold. It is an honor to be trusted in that process and to witness the strength, wisdom, and resilience that each person carries within them.

These moments, however small or big, are what give meaning to my work.

My energy and spirit

If I were to describe how I show up in this work, I would say I come with care, presence, and respect.

I try to create a space that feels safe and welcoming, where you can be yourself without needing to explain or perform. A space where you feel seen, heard, and supported in a simple and honest way.

My approach is gentle and intuitive, while also grounded. I will guide when needed, and step back when space is needed. I trust each person’s process and timing.

More than anything, I hope the space we share allows you to settle, to release, and to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels real and steady.

"Eva's intuitive guidance and gentle touch created a profound healing experience. I felt truly understood and supported."
